If this unit is to be connected to a MD Deck and tape deck of the
Marantz Slim Line Series, refer to “System Connection through AL-
Bus” shown in below figure.
System Connection through AL-Bus
Use the following connections if this unit is to be used in combination
with the Marantz Slim Line Series components.
NOTE:
If these components are to be stacked, always observe the stacking
order shown in this illustration, that is, the receiver on top, the tape deck
in the middle and the MD deck at the bottom.

CONNECTIONS
Connection of D-BUS Remote Control Bus
This unit is equipped with the remote control bus function. By
connecting it to Marantz system components equipped with remote
control (D.BUS/RC-5) jacks, such as a MD Deck and tape deck, these
components can be remote controlled from this unit.
Connect the D.BUS OUT jack of this unit to the REMOTE CONT.BUS IN
jack of another component using an RCA-type pin lead.
NOTE:
If the connected component with the remote control (D.BUS/RC-5)
jacks has an INT/EXT switch on the rear panel, set the switch to EXT.
